President Droupadi Murmu has chosen A S Rajeev to become a Vigilance Commissioner in the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC).

Before this new role, A S Rajeev served as the Managing Director & CEO of Bank of Maharashtra, which is a public sector bank.
Retirement from Bank of Maharashtra
Recently, A S Rajeev decided to retire from his position as Managing Director & CEO of Bank of Maharashtra. His request for retirement was approved by the appropriate authority, as stated in a letter from the Department of Financial Services (DFS).
Structure of the Central Vigilance Commission
According to the CVC Act, the Central Vigilance Commission now consists of three members: the Central Vigilance Commissioner and two Vigilance Commissioners.

Praveen Kumar Srivastava has been serving as the Central Vigilance Commissioner since May 2023. Arvinda Kumar has held the position of Vigilance Commissioner since August 2022.
