Massive Fire at Central Bank of India in Amravati Maharashtra

A massive fire broke out at a Central Bank branch in the Chandur Railway area of Amravati district, Maharashtra, on Saturday, March 15. According to news agency IANS, the blaze destroyed cash and other valuables in the bank. However, all bank employees were safely evacuated without any injuries.

The fire was reported around 12:30 PM. Upon receiving the distress call, firefighters and local police rushed to the scene. Authorities are actively working to control the flames. Preliminary reports suggest the fire was caused by a short circuit.

Seeing the fire in the bank, a huge crowd of locals gathered at the scene. The police also had to take charge to control the situation. Chandur Railway Police Station SHO Ajay Akhri said that all the documents and furniture inside the bank have burnt to ashes.

According to senior cop Ajay Akhri, no written information or complaint has been received from the bank administration so far. However, according to sources, cash worth of lakhs of rupees was charred in the incident. The police are trying to ascertain the exact cause of the fire, saying that a forensic team may also be called to confirm what exactly led to such a massive fire.
