In Kapurthala, Punjab, a man committed suicide by consuming poison. Before his death, he made a video in which he held a bank manager and another individual responsible for his demise.
In Phagwara, Kapurthala, a man took his own life due to frustration with the staff of a private bank. The deceased made a video holding the bank employees accountable for his death. The City Police have filed a case against the bank manager and another individual in this matter.
Kuljeet Singh, a resident of village Ranipur Kamboa in Phagwara, created a video before taking his life. In the video, he named bank employees and held them responsible for his death. Kuljeet took poison to end his life.
The deceased’s wife, Sukhwinder Kaur, reported to the police that her husband had taken a vehicle loan from Equity Small Finance Bank in Jalandhar. Kuljeet Singh had deposited the full amount for the vehicle in the bank, but the bank did not transfer the vehicle into Kuljeet Singh’s name nor did it provide him with the vehicle’s NOC.
The bank employees repeatedly mistreated Kuljeet Singh, leading him to mental distress. As a result, Kuljeet Singh ended his life by ingesting poison.
According to SHO Jatinder Kumar of the City Police Station, a case has been registered against Jasveer Singh, the General Manager of Equity Small Finance Bank in Jalandhar, and his associate Neeraj Kumar under Section 108 BNS for allegedly driving Kuljeet Singh to suicide.
