A young man was injured inside the State Bank of India in Itawa due to a gunshot. A woman had brought a licensed gun with her, and it accidentally fired when the gun fell for some reason, hitting the young man’s leg. Chaos ensued in the bank after the incident.
The woman fled the scene with the gun, and the police have detained her husband. The ASP City and the police from Chhanbien police station are investigating the incident. The SSP visited the district hospital to check on the condition of the injured young man.
The police are discussing action against the bank’s negligence.On Wednesday, a youth was wounded inside the SBI bank in the Friends Colony area, according to reports.
The injured youth had entered the bank to retrieve his sister’s ATM card. A gunshot injured the youth’s leg, and he was sent to the district hospital for treatment.
Anurag Rathore, a resident of Friends Colony Ashok Nagar, came to the Ramnagar State Bank to withdraw money with his wife. Retired soldier Yogendra Yadav and his wife Rekha Yadav were also present in the bank to withdraw money.
Rekha had a licensed gun in her bag, and when it fell, a sudden gunshot injured 24-year-old Anurag’s leg. He was seriously injured, leading to chaos within the bank.
