
In a tragic incident in Neemkathana district, a female bank employee was found murdered and her body was discovered on the roadside near Bharaala village turn, approximately 11 km from the city. It is reported that the woman was living separately from her husband, adding a layer of complexity to the case. The local authorities are actively investigating the murder, which has sent shockwaves through the community.


Police Response and Initial Findings
Upon receiving information about the body at around 9 am on Monday, the authorities quickly responded to the scene. DSP Anuj Dal confirmed that marks of car wheels (tyres) were found at the location where the body was discovered, suggesting that the body had been transported by car and then dumped on the roadside. The police have registered a case of murder and are currently conducting a thorough investigation to uncover the truth behind this heinous crime.
Background of the Deceased and Relationship Issues
The victim has been identified as Shikha Agarwal, a 30-year-old clerk at the Bhudoli branch of Baroda Rajasthan Regional Rural Bank. Shikha had a love marriage with Pankaj Gupta, a 33-year-old resident of Alwar, in December 2023. However, Shikha had been living separately from her husband and staying at her father’s house located at Khetri turn.
On the evening of Sunday, Shikha went to Nehru Park, which is approximately 400 meters away from her house in the cantonment area, to meet her husband Pankaj. However, when she did not return home by 9 pm, her family became concerned and tried calling her mobile phone. Unfortunately, Shikha did not answer, and neither did Pankaj. Despite searching the area, they were unable to locate her.
Report of Dispute and Dowry Harassment
Concerned about Shikha’s disappearance, the family lodged a complaint with the police at the Neemkathana control room around 10 pm. It has come to light that there had been an ongoing dispute between Shikha and Pankaj for the past three months. The family has also filed a report against Pankaj, alleging harassment for dowry.
Pankaj, who currently resides in Gurjar Colony of Neemkathana, was previously working alongside Shikha as a clerk at the Baroda Rajasthan Regional Rural Bank in Bhudoli. However, he was recently transferred to the bank’s branch in Patan, adding another dimension to the investigation.
The authorities are leaving no stone unturned as they delve deeper into the circumstances surrounding Shikha’s murder and the possible involvement of her husband, Pankaj. The case has attracted significant attention, and the community is hopeful that justice will be served.
