CBI Arrests General Manager of a PSU in Bribery Case

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has arrested a Group General Manager (GGM) of M/s Bridge and Roof Co. (India) Limited, a Central Government Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Heavy Industries, along with two private individuals, including the Director of a private company and another accomplice. The arrests followed the payment of a Rs. 10 lakh bribe to the accused GGM.

Bridge And Roof Company (India) Limited is a Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSE) of the Government of India, based in Kolkata, India. The company began in 1920. Bridge And Roof Co. (India) Ltd., is a construction organization, encompassing industrial and infrastructure sectors in India as well as abroad. It also undertakes EPC and Turnkey contracts. Bridge And Roof is a ‘Total Solutions’ conglomerate for providing Design, Engineering and Construction Services through various modes of contract such as EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction), Unit Rate Contract and Open Book Estimate (OBE), PMC (Project Management Consultancy) from ‘Concept to Commissioning’ whilst maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.
