Govt has appointed Brajesh Kumar Singh as ED of Indian Bank

The Central government has appointed Brajesh Kumar Singh as the Executive Director of Indian Bank for a period of three years. This appointment comes after Singh’s tenure as the Chief General Manager – Human Resources at Bank of Baroda. The official notification regarding this appointment was issued on March 9, 2024.

According to the notification, Brajesh Kumar Singh will assume the position of Executive Director of Indian Bank from the date of assuming office, which is expected to be on or after March 10, 2024. His term will last for three years, or until further orders from the Central government, whichever comes earlier.

Brajesh Kumar Singh brings with him a wealth of experience in the banking sector, with over 28 years of service. He holds an agriculture degree from Allahabad Agriculture Institute and has held various key positions within Bank of Baroda, including Credit Officer, Branch Head, and Regional Head.

During his tenure at Bank of Baroda, Singh has demonstrated his expertise in Retail Assets and Human Resource management at the Corporate Office. He has also served as a Director on the Board of Bank of Baroda and Uttar Pradesh Gramin Bank, further augmenting his experience and understanding of the banking industry.

Indian Bank, in its BSE filing, announced the appointment of Brajesh Kumar Singh as the Executive Director, highlighting his extensive banking experience and the government’s decision to appoint him to this crucial position.

This appointment reflects the Central government’s commitment to strengthening the leadership and management of Indian Bank, and Brajesh Kumar Singh’s expertise and leadership qualities are expected to contribute significantly to the bank’s growth and success in the coming years.

  1. An Agricultural expert is always found successful in bank lending and management in bank .Last 30 years we saw many such bankers successful in their carrier . Most of them initially worked in bank as Agriculture Officer or Agriculture Field Officers or Rural development Officer (RDO )
