Big Change for Credit Card Users! Axis Bank Removes Accor as Reward Transfer Partner

In a significant move impacting credit card reward users, Axis Bank has discontinued its partnership with Accor Live Limitless (ALL) for reward point transfers as of April 2026. This development marks a major devaluation in the bank’s reward ecosystem, especially for frequent travelers.

No More Accor Point Transfers

Axis Bank credit card holders will no longer be able to convert their EDGE Rewards or EDGE Miles into Accor ALL points, a feature that was previously considered one of the most valuable redemption options. The removal of this transfer partner significantly reduces flexibility and value for users who preferred hotel stays through Accor.

Accor Live Limitless (ALL) is a hotel loyalty program used across brands like Novotel, Ibis, Sofitel, and Pullman, where points can be redeemed almost like cash for hotel stays. Earlier, Axis Bank allowed its credit card users to transfer their EDGE Rewards or EDGE Miles into Accor points, making it one of the most valuable redemption options.

The process was simple: users earned reward points by spending on Axis Bank credit cards such as Atlas, Magnus, or Reserve, and then converted those points into Accor ALL points.

The biggest advantage of Accor was its fixed value system, where 2,000 points were equal to €40 (around ₹3,500), making it easy to calculate the exact benefit without worrying about dynamic pricing or availability issues, unlike airline miles.

This meant users could get a high return on their spending, often around 5–10%, by redeeming points directly for hotel bookings. The redemption process was also straightforward, as points could be applied instantly while booking a stay.

However, Axis Bank has now removed Accor as a transfer partner, meaning users can no longer convert their reward points into Accor points, resulting in a significant reduction in value and flexibility for travel-focused customers.

Accor Plus Membership Still Available on Premium Card

Despite ending the transfer partnership, the bank continues to offer benefits related to Accor. The premium Axis Bank Reserve Credit Card still provides a complimentary Accor Plus membership, which is renewable annually and offers hotel discounts and dining privileges.

Users Explore Alternative Reward Options

With the discontinuation of Accor transfers, many users are now evaluating alternative redemption options. Some are considering competing products like HSBC TravelOne Credit Card, which offers broader travel partnerships, though often with less attractive conversion ratios.

Major Shift in Credit Card Rewards Landscape

This move signals a broader shift in India’s credit card rewards ecosystem. The removal of a high-value partner like Accor reduces the overall attractiveness of Axis Bank’s reward program and may influence customer preferences going forward.

Bottom Line:
Axis Bank’s decision to remove Accor as a transfer partner is a major setback for reward optimization, especially for travel-focused users, and could reshape how customers choose their credit cards in the future.
