Coastal Local Area Bank included in Second Schedule to RBI Act 1934

Coastal Local Area Bank Limited has been included in the Second Schedule to the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934 vide Notification DoR.LIC.No.S3539/22-03-070/2026-27 dated July 28, 2026 and published in the Gazette of India (Part III – Section 4) dated August 11, 2026.

Coastal Bank is the first Local Area Bank in the country licensed by Reserve Bank of India and commenced its operations from 27th December 1999. The corporate office of bank is located in Vijaywada, Andhra Pradesh.
