In the case of the murder of a female bank employee in the Neemkathana district, the police have made an arrest. The husband of the deceased, Shikha Agarwal, has been taken into custody. The police also brought him to the crime scene for further investigation.

Allegations of Monetary Agreement and Threats
Anita, the aunt of Shikha Agarwal, claims that Shikha’s husband, Pankaj Batra, had requested an agreement from her. According to Anita, the agreement stated that Shikha would give half of her salary to Pankaj’s mother, and in return, Pankaj would take her to Alwar. The agreement also included a condition that Shikha would break ties with her parents. These allegations shed light on a potential motive for the crime.
Shikha’s father, Satish Agarwal, reported receiving a threatening call, allegedly from a person claiming to be the Neemkathana SHO and later identifying themselves as Rajendra Chauhan, ACP Neemkathana. The caller asked about Pankaj, Shikha’s husband, and someone named Dharampal. They then informed Satish that his daughter had been murdered and inquired about the name written in the FIR. When Satish raised his voice, the caller threatened to arrest him. Satish has filed a complaint with ASI Babulal, the SP’s reader.
Details of the Crime and Investigation
Shikha’s body was discovered on the roadside at Bharaala turn, approximately 11 km from Neemkathana, at 9 am on Monday. Prior to her murder, Shikha had gone to Nehru Park, located 400 meters away from her house, to meet her husband Pankaj and deliver food. The police found a tiffin full of food near Shikha’s body. Due to these circumstances, the family suspected Pankaj’s involvement in the murder. As a result, Pankaj was arrested on Tuesday morning, and the investigation is currently underway.
Allegations of Harassment and Dowry Demands
Shikha’s aunt, Manju Gupta, revealed that Shikha had been facing harassment for some time, specifically related to dowry demands. Pankaj had been pressuring Shikha to sign a document stating that if anything were to happen to her, neither his nor his mother’s name would be implicated. Additionally, Shikha was forced to meet Pankaj at Nehru Park for three consecutive days. On the third day, Pankaj allegedly took her to Jheel Ki Chowki and murdered her. Manju Gupta further claimed that Shikha’s husband, mother-in-law, and maternal grandfather were all involved in the conspiracy.
