The Jaipur Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) recently conducted raids at several locations belonging to Bhomaram, the Managing Director of Apex Bank. The raids were carried out in Jaipur, Jhunjhunu, Nagaur, and Khinvsar on Wednesday morning. The ACB team received a complaint regarding disproportionate assets, which prompted the investigation.

During the operation, the ACB officers and employees involved in the raid switched off their mobile phones. The search continued until Wednesday evening, and several pieces of information related to property were discovered.

The specifics of what the Jhunjhunu ACB team discovered in the raid remain unclear. However, according to information from the ACB headquarters, searches conducted on Wednesday at four locations uncovered leases for seven plots, gold and silver jewelry, documents related to movable and immovable assets, and bank accounts.

Additionally, it was revealed that there is a petrol pump in Khinvsar Nagaur registered under Bhomaram’s wife’s name, and a hotel is under construction in Nagaur. Based on the documents found, the ACB estimates that Bhomaram and his family have amassed assets worth crores of rupees. The ACB also noted that these assets are disproportionately higher than their legal income. ASP Ismail Khan stated that the house searches were conducted under the headquarters’ direction, and all findings are being reported to them.

Earlier, Bhomaram was the MD of Central Cooperative Bank Jaisalmer. At that time, his tenure was mired in controversies, the complaint of which is still pending. Bhomaram has been accused of disbursing loans in the bank as per his own will, besides corruption in the screening of recruitment of managers, paying arrears to managers against the rules. The investigation for the same is still pending.
