The Akhil Bhartiya Bank of Baroda Officers Sanghthan (ABBOBOS) has announced that it will continue with its three-day strike from September 28 to September 30, 2026.
ABBOBOS is affiliated with the Bhartiya Bank Officers Sanghthan (BBOS) and Hind Mazdoor Sabha (HMS). The union is currently not part of the United Forum of Bank Unions (UFBU) and has therefore taken its own independent decision to continue with the three-day strike.
The union said that Five-Day Banking remains a long-pending commitment and called for a concrete and time-bound outcome on the issue. It also said that it welcomes genuine efforts to resolve the matter while continuing its peaceful and democratic struggle for the implementation of Five-Day Banking.
ABBOBOS Members Asked Not to Attend Office
ABBOBOS has specifically instructed its members to remain on strike on September 28, 29 and 30 and not attend office on these three days. The union has also asked members to remain peaceful, disciplined and united during the strike.
The union advised its members not to engage in arguments or confrontation with any Bank official and asked them to follow the guidance of the union leadership and maintain the dignity of the organisation.
Letter Sent to Bank of Baroda Management
In a separate letter dated September 28, 2026, issued at 1:05 am, ABBOBOS informed the Chief General Manager (HRM) of Bank of Baroda, BCC Mumbai, that the union would proceed with the three-day strike on September 28, 29 and 30.
The union requested Bank of Baroda management to communicate the strike information to all Zonal and Regional Offices so that concerned officials are informed that ABBOBOS members will participate in the strike. A copy of the communication was also addressed to the Conciliation Officer under the office of the Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), Mumbai.
