The discussions for 13th BPS will start soon between UFBU and IBA. The 13th Bipartite Settlement (13th BPS) is the upcoming wage revision for public sector bank employees in India, which is scheduled to come into effect on November 1, 2027, following the expiration of the 12th BPS.
Bankers demand that they should get job benefits equal to LIC and central government employees. At present, the salary, medical and other benefits of Bank employees are very less in comparison to LIC.
If you are a banker, we request you to share suggestions for 13th BPS. You can share the job benefits you need in this 13th BPS in the comments section below.
Some of the genuine Demands of bankers are as follows:
#1) Salary of Bank Employees should be made similar to LIC Employees. The LIC AAO salary is approximately ₹40,000 higher per month than the IBPS PO salary, though banks are reporting profits of thousands of crores.
#2) Bank Employees are demanding better medical facilities. Right now, an officer is entitled to Rs.5 lakh medical insurance only and there have been cases where the officers are even not able to incur costs of treatment in case of serious diseases.
#3) Sabbatical leave of female employees should be increased to more than 2 years due to rise in nuclear families. Now a days, a female has to raise her child all alone.
#4) The timings of officers should be fixed. Officers are sitting in branches till 8 pm and 9 pm. There should be fixed lunch hours as in Central government jobs.
#5) Five-day banking week should be implemented with all Saturdays and Sundays as holidays. Bank employees should not have to work on Saturdays when most other financial-sector employees enjoy a five-day working week.
#6) Staff shortage should be addressed. Branches are suffering from huge staff shortage. Banks need to resolve this issue.
