In a recent incident, a customer named Vikrant Singh Kushwah and his friend Shreyas Jaiswal were involved in a fight with the employees of Union Bank of India Circle Office in Pandu Nagar, Kanpur. Vikrant had borrowed a large sum of Rs. 12 crore from the bank, but his account became non-performing, meaning he couldn’t repay the loan. He was pressuring the bank staff to increase his loan limit, but when the bank refused, things got heated and a fight broke out between Vikrant, his friend, and the bank employees.

Following the fight, around 50 bank staff members from Union Bank went to the Kakadeo police station and filed a report against Vikrant. The bank staff also handed over CCTV footage that showed Vikrant involved in the fight. However, Vikrant claimed that the bank staff had asked for a bribe to increase his loan limit, and when he refused to pay, the fight occurred.

This incident has caused concern in the local community, as it highlights the problems that can arise when financial pressure builds up and leads to conflicts between customers and banks. The investigation is ongoing, and both Vikrant and the bank staff are awaiting a resolution to this matter.

  1. sanctioning and non sanctioning of loan or loan limit is not the loan appliant’s or existing borrower’s right.

It depends upon the due diligence and discretionary of the loan sanctioning authority.

It is transparent in the books that to refusal.of every loan is reported to the controlling authority for perusal.

  2. Bank staff are easy targets for customers. If you raise voice, they will say the official demanded for bribe.
    Its very pathetic
