Shri Ashish Madhaorao More has been appointed as Government Nominee Director of Bank of Baroda. The Central Government, vide notification No. eF.No.6/2(i)/2022-BO.I dated 24.07.2025 has nominated Shri Ashish Madhaorao More (Joint Secretary, Government of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Financial Services) as Director on the Board of Bank of Baroda, with immediate effect and until further orders vice Shri M P Tangirala.
Shri Ashish Madhaorao More is a senior officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), belonging to the AGMUT cadre, with an allotment year of 2005. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Nagpur University and hails from Maharashtra.
After joining the IAS, Shri More has held diverse and impactful roles across the Central Government and various Union Territories and States. His career began with training in the Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA). He has served in key administrative positions in his AGMUT Cadre including Deputy Commissioner in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Delhi and Mizoram; Director (Finance) in Delhi Jal Board; and Secretary in multiple departments in Goa and Puducherry.
At the Centre, he has held significant roles such as Private Secretary to the Hon’ble Minister of Railways, Director (All India Services Division) in the Department of Personnel and Training and currently serves as Joint Secretary (Banking) in the Ministry of Finance.
Shri More has undergone multiple mid-career training programs at LBSNAA, including Phase III, Phase IV and a Common Mid-Career Training Programme for the 2005 batch. His career reflects a strong commitment to Public Service, Policy Implementation, Financial Administration and Governance across a wide spectrum of domains.
