In a recent initiative, the State Bank of India (SBI) has donated a state-of-the-art ambulance, fully equipped with a life support system, to the Border Security Force (BSF). This donation is part of SBI’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts to support those serving in challenging environments.
The handover ceremony was attended by prominent figures from both organizations. Ashwani Kumar Tiwari, Managing Director of SBI Mumbai, along with Kishan Singh Rana, Deputy Inspector General of BSF’s Jowai Sector Headquarters, were present at the event, accompanied by other senior officials.
The BSF expressed its gratitude, highlighting that the new ambulance would provide critical medical support to its personnel stationed in remote border areas. More importantly, it would also benefit the local communities living near the border, offering quick medical aid in case of emergencies.
This gesture is not just a one-time effort. It’s a reflection of a growing collaboration between the BSF and SBI. The BSF often conducts Civic Action Programmes aimed at meeting the needs of the border population. Based on these efforts, SBI identified the need for enhanced medical facilities and took action. Both organizations are committed to continuing this partnership, with plans for more such initiatives in the future.
The donation of the ambulance is expected to strengthen ties between the BSF and the local communities, improving cooperation and fostering goodwill in the region. Through this initiative, SBI hopes to play an active role in supporting both the brave troops and the people who live in these remote areas.
All other PSBs ought to come out with innovative schemes to help our Jawans who day & night stand firm under all odds in order to protect the Nation and General Public at large in times of natural calamities 🙏🙏✌️
