SBI Bribery Case Jhawar Rajasthan: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Rajasthan is continuing its efforts to fight corruption. On Wednesday, the ACB took swift action and arrested two individuals involved in a bribery case in Jhalawar. The two accused were caught red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000. Those arrested include the Deputy Manager of the State Bank of India (SBI) and an auditor assistant from a private firm.
The Bribery Incident
According to reports, the Deputy Manager of SBI, Priyansh Goyal, and Gajendra Kumawat, who works as an auditor assistant for Milind Nyati & Company, were asking for a bribe of Rs 30,000. The bribe was allegedly demanded to help pass an industrial loan. Initially, the total bribe demanded was Rs 40,000, but they agreed to accept Rs 30,000. ACB’s Investigation and Arrest
The complainant, who was trying to get his loan approved, informed the ACB about the demand for a bribe. Acting on this complaint, the ACB carried out an investigation. The investigation was overseen by Deputy Inspector General of Police, Kalyanmal Meena, from the ACB’s Kota unit, and Additional Superintendent of Police Jagaram Meena, who leads the ACB’s Jhalawar unit.
After confirming the details of the complaint, the ACB team decided to take immediate action. On the day of the incident, the team successfully arrested both Priyansh Goyal and Gajendra Kumawat while they were accepting the bribe from the complainant. The ACB has registered a case against both the accused.
