The Indian Banks’ Association (IBA) managing committee has elected State Bank of India (SBI) Chairman CS Setty as its new Chairman, according to a statement.
Additionally, MD A. Manimekhalai, Punjab & Sind Bank MD Swarup Kumar Saha, and Madhav Nair from Bank of Bahrain & Kuwait B.S.C have been appointed as Deputy Chairmen of IBA.
Karur Vysya Bank MD B. Ramesh Babu has been elected as the Honorary Secretary. Earlier this month, former Punjab National Bank MD Atul Kumar Goel was named CEO of IBA, succeeding Sunil Mehta.
IBA, the industry body representing public and private sector banks, facilitates consultations between bankers and the banking regulator on key sectoral issues.
