Head Constable Sitaram Saharan had been posted as a guard in-charge at the Bank of Baroda. His mental state had been severely affected after a road accident in 2007, causing him distress and anguish. On the day of the incident, Sunday evening, family members were present at home when Sitaram went to a room outside the house and ended his life by hanging himself.
Investigation and Suicide Note
Upon discovering the tragedy, family members immediately informed the police, who arrived at the scene. A suicide note was found near the deceased head constable, wherein Sitaram Saharan expressed his exhaustion with injustice and requested the police department to perform his last rites in his village. Sitaram Saharan, a 47-year-old head constable, had been serving in the Rajasthan Police since 1997. Sitaram Saharan is survived by a son, who is pursuing an LLB degree in Delhi, and a daughter who is preparing for the NEET examination. The family resides in Poonia Colony and had recently built a house there.
