The arrested accused used to message all HDFC customers through SMS using an SMS header of HDFC Bank to update their PAN card and suspend their account. In this message, a link to a company called Dream Enterprises was also sent. Whenever a person clicked on the link, the entire data of the phone (phone number and important data) would go to the criminals.

The criminals would then give this data to different companies and other criminals. In this case, the cybercrime team has arrested an accused from Hisar. Important data of HDFC customers has also been found in both of the mobiles recovered from the accused.
