GST Revenue Collection Data March 2025: The GST Department has released the GST collection data for the month of March 2025. India’s Goods and Services Tax (GST) collections increased 9.9% year-on-year to ₹1.96 lakh crore in March 2025, reflecting higher economic activity and improved compliance. In February 2025, GST revenue collection was ₹1.83 lakh crore (9.1% YoY increase) and in January 2025, GST revenue collection was ₹1.96 lakh crore (12.5% YoY increase).

In comparison, February’s collections stood at ₹35,204 crore (CGST), ₹43,704 crore (SGST), ₹90,870 crore (IGST), and ₹13,868 crore (compensation cess).

Top GST-Contributing States

Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh remained the top five contributors in March:

Delhi ranked sixth, contributing ₹6,139 crore (5% YoY increase). At the lower end, Bihar recorded the lowest GST payment at just ₹2.6 crore, followed by Lakshadweep (₹3 crore) and Andhra Pradesh (₹4.03 crore).
