Raebareli, Unchahar: A fire broke out under suspicious circumstances in the Bank of Baroda branch located in the Unchahar police station area early Friday morning. The incident occurred between 5 and 6 AM, reportedly triggered by a short circuit in the electrical wiring within the bank manager’s cabin.
Upon receiving the alert, teams from the police and fire department rushed to the scene. The intensity of the fire alarmed nearby residents, who promptly informed the authorities. Officials at the site confirmed that the fire, which started in the electrical wiring, quickly spread from the manager’s cabin to an adjacent cabin. Thanks to the swift response from the fire brigade and police, the fire was brought under control before it could cause more extensive damage.
Damage Assessment
While no injuries were reported, the fire destroyed important documents and computers within the bank premises. Fortunately, the blaze did not spread to other sections of the bank. Unchahar Police Station Chief Sanjay Singh stated that the police responded immediately upon learning of the incident.

The bank has not yet filed an official complaint regarding the fire. Authorities have initiated an investigation into the incident, suspecting a short circuit as the likely cause.
