In the Sadar Kotwali area of Kannauj district, the body of a female assistant manager of a bank was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her room. The father of the assistant manager has lodged a complaint with the police, accusing a bank employee of mentally and physically torturing his daughter. The police have registered the complaint and initiated an investigation.
Sonia Khanna (26), a resident of Khadaamau in the Bilhaur Kotwali area of Kanpur, was the assistant manager at the branch of Aryavart Gramin Bank located in Makarandnagar in the city. Her father stated that his daughter used to live on rent in Abdul Jabbar’s house in the Kajitola neighborhood near the police line mode. Late on Saturday night, the landlord called and informed them that their daughter’s body was found hanging from a rope. Upon receiving the information, they rushed to the scene. They revealed that six months ago, their daughter had discussed her marriage with a legal officer named Pranshul Verma from the bank, which was also approved by the family.
Later, it was discovered that Pranshul often mentally and physically tortured the daughter. Distressed by the harassment from Pranshul, the daughter hung herself. The Superintendent of Police, Kamlesh Kumar, stated that based on the father’s complaint, a report has been registered against the accused. The police are currently investigating the entire matter, and further actions will be taken after the investigation.
Doesn’t seem like abetment to suicide. It’s pure murder.
