Class 10 Boy Found Hanging from Tree After Principal Takes Away Phone in Odisha

On Friday, tragedy struck in Khordha, Odisha, when a Class 10 student, who resided at a private school’s hostel in Gajapati district, was discovered hanging from a tree on the school’s premises. This devastating incident occurred shortly after the school principal confiscated the student’s mobile phone.

Authorities were alerted to the situation on Friday morning, prompting a swift response from the police who arrived at the scene and recovered the boy’s lifeless body.

The school administration had previously prohibited the use of mobile phones for hostel residents. However, the deceased student had allegedly defied this rule by retaining a mobile phone in his possession.

Police are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragic event. They are diligently examining all potential factors that may have contributed to the student’s demise, and the family has been notified about the incident.
