In the case of the death of electrician Prakhar Mishra in Khamaria area of Lakhimpur Kheri, the family has accused four people, including the SBI bank manager, of murder under a conspiracy. The family alleges that the accused murdered Prakhar and threw his body on the roof. The Khamaria police have registered a murder case against all the accused.

Events Leading to the Murder

According to Shivshankar, a resident of Khamaria, his nephew Prakhar Mishra, also known as Ram, was taken away by Monu Dixit, Shivam Patel, Rajdeep Singhania (SBI Bank Manager), and Manoj Dixit to Manoj’s house under a well-planned strategy. It is alleged that Prakhar was taken to Manoj’s house on the pretext of repairing an inverter. Prakhar arrived at Manoj’s house at around 8:30 pm on Thursday night, but he did not return for a long time.

Discovery of Prakhar’s Body

After some time, the family received information that Prakhar’s body was lying on the roof of Manoj’s house. When the family reached the house, they found no one there. The police arrived at the scene upon hearing the news of Prakhar’s murder. They inspected the spot and collected several pieces of evidence. The body was later sent for postmortem. Following a complaint from the family, the police registered a case of murder against the four accused. One of the accused, Monu Dixit, has been taken into custody and is currently being questioned. The police have deployed teams to search for the remaining accused who are currently absconding.

Family Protests and Highway Blockade

Angered by the police’s handling of the case, the family members blocked the Bahraich highway on Friday evening, using Prakhar’s body as a means to demand the arrest of the four accused. This action resulted in the halt of traffic on the highway. The family members and villagers raised slogans of ‘Police Murdabad’ (Down with the Police) during the protest. The police from four different stations remained as bystanders, not taking any action.

Investigation and Suspicion of Foul Play

The family members have raised questions about how Prakhar’s body ended up on the roof of the house if he was called to fix the inverter. They suspect that the accused tried to stage the murder as an accident by killing him. The police are investigating all the points raised. Dhaurahra CO Pritam Pal Singh mentioned that an investigation is being conducted to understand how the mechanic ended up on the roof if his task was to install the AC and inverter in the room.

Impact on the Bank and Village

After the incident, the bank manager Rajdeep Singhania, who was allegedly involved in Prakhar’s murder, absconded. This news left the bank employees scared, and as a result, not a single employee showed up to work that day. The bank remained closed throughout the day, causing inconvenience to customers and traders who rely on the bank for their transactions. The situation surrounding the bank closure has become a topic of discussion in the entire village.

Conclusion

The investigation into the suspicious death of electrician Prakhar Mishra in Khamaria is ongoing. The family’s accusation of murder against four individuals, including the SBI bank manager, has led to a murder case being registered by the police. The family’s protests and the subsequent highway blockade have further intensified the situation.
