Naveen Kumar, a 31-year-old resident of Ambala, Haryana, and a probationary officer (PO) at Canara Bank, was found dead in his hotel room in Lucknow. According to the police, Naveen had traveled to Lucknow with some of his colleagues for training. They were all staying at Hotel AVPS in Sector-8.
Naveen was assigned room number 210 at the hotel. On the night of May 26, his health suddenly deteriorated, and his colleagues promptly took him to nearby Sushma Hospital for medical attention. After receiving first aid, Naveen returned to his hotel room and went to sleep.
The following morning, when Naveen failed to wake up at 11 am, his concerned colleagues knocked on the door of his room. However, there was no response from inside, prompting them to contact the police.
The Gazipur police arrived at the hotel and, after receiving the information, broke open the door of Naveen’s room. They discovered his lifeless body lying on the bed. The police immediately informed Naveen’s family members and sent the body for post-mortem examination.
Inspector Ghazipur Vikas Rai stated that preliminary investigation suggests that Naveen died due to illness. The exact cause of death will be determined once the post-mortem report is available.
