The building of Canara Bank in Belanganj Bhairav Bazaar, Agra, suddenly collapsed, causing panic in the area.
The incident created a big stir in the area. According to local residents, basement excavations had been ongoing for quite some time adjacent to the bank. This might have led to the accident.

But what happened to employees and customers inside the Bank? Luckily, the employees and customers escaped the big tragedy.
As per reports, the building of Canara Bank was very old and needed urgent renovation. Moreover, the excavation in the nearby area led to fall of the building. The excavation might have loosened the soil which ultimately led to collapse of building.
This is a big reminder for Banks to repair and renovate their building on urgent basis. The incident could have led to loss of a lot of lives but luckily the incident got averted.
