Bank staff accused of beating pregnant woman for loan recovery

Ajmer: A case of assault on a pregnant woman has come to light in Alwar Gate police station area of Ajmer. The woman has accused the manager and employees of a private bank of assaulting her for not paying the loan installment and causing her miscarriage. A complaint has been given by the woman in Alwar Gate police station. Alwar Gate police station has registered a case under various sections including SC-ST Act.

The victim Poonam, wife of Brijesh, resident of Alwar Gate, lodged a complaint at the Alwar Gate police station and said that she had taken a loan of Rs 30,000 from IDFC Bank located on Srinagar Road. She said that she has been regularly depositing installment of Rs 1570 and only two installments are left.

The woman alleged that on January 23, manager Om Prakash and other staff members beat her and her husband over the installment. During this, a woman named Deepa Gurjar kicked her stomach and made her fall by holding her face.

Due to this fight, her 2 month old child got aborted. Alwar Gate police station has registered a case under various sections including SC-ST Act on the complaint of the woman. The police is investigating the case.
