Bank of Baroda Officer Attacked in Shahjahanpur Uttar Pradesh

The worrying trend of violent attacks on bank employees shows no signs of stopping. In yet another shocking incident, Shri Ratnesh Joshi, the Branch Head of Bank of Baroda’s Khajuri Branch in Shahjahanpur region, was brutally assaulted by unidentified miscreants.

The attack took place on September 3, 2025, near Barakalan, while Joshi was returning to his residence after finishing work at the branch. The assailants intercepted him on the way and attacked him. He reported the matter to authorities. On September 4, 2025, he formally lodged a complaint at the Kalan Police Station.

Police have registered the complaint and are investigating the case to identify and apprehend the culprits. The incident has once again raised serious concerns about the safety and security of bank staff. Bank employees often face pressure not only from official responsibilities but also from external elements during loan recovery, cash management, and other banking operations. The repeated instances of physical assaults highlight the urgent need for stronger measures to protect them.

A few days ago, in Daudhar village in Badhni Kalan, Moga district, three masked men travelling in a numberless car attacked Punjab National Bank (PNB) manager outside his rented house. The entire incident was captured on CCTV installed at the residence.

Bank manager was living alone in a rented house near the bank in Daudhar village. On Friday, while he was at home, three masked men arrived in a Zen car and knocked on his door.
