According to the police, a case has been registered against 60 individuals for availing bank loans from the State Bank of India (SBI) based on fake documents. These individuals have been availing these loans since 2021, and the case was registered against them recently after a complaint from the bank. During the application process, they claimed to be government employees and submitted salary slips, ID cards, and other valid documents to the bank. However, upon investigation, it was discovered that the borrowers were not government employees, and the submitted documents were fake.

It seems Credentials of the persons approached for loan have not been verified. At least in which govt. dept the person works must be verified.
