A shocking and serious incident has been reported in Federal Bank.
As per reports, the Bank’s Business Summit (Reward & Recognition Programme) was held at Port Blair, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, on 17th and 18th April 2026.
As reported, lady officers attending the programme were molested during a night event by one of the executives of the Bank.
Some officials present at the programme were under the influence of alcohol. The association has strongly condemned this incident.
The association said that this is not an isolated incident. Similar issues have been brought to the Management’s notice earlier, including incidents reported from Kolkata during the R and R programme.
The incident has raised a big question on the work culture in Banks. This is not the only incident, but several such incidents have been reported in the past.
Bank job was once considered to be one of the safest jobs in India for women but in the recent years the harassment cases of women have increased a lot. Banks need to resolve this at the earliest.
The association has demanded MD & CEO to take strict action against the erring officials of the Bank and maintain the discipline and decency in the Bank.
