A shocking theft occurred at the SBI Bank in Bhiwani, where a woman was caught on CCTV stealing a bag containing Rs 10 lakh in cash. The stolen money belonged to an employee of a finance company.
Naresh, a resident of Chhapar village, works for Radiant Cash Management Company. On Tuesday, he had deposited a total of Rs 40 lakh in two bags at Osmal Finance Bank near the old bus stand in Bhiwani. One bag contained Rs 30 lakh, and the other had Rs 10 lakh.
Naresh arrived at the SBI Main Branch near Ghantaghar at 1:30 pm to deposit the cash in the company’s cash van. He placed both bags on the counter and began depositing the money from the larger bag. However, when he looked for the smaller bag, it was missing.
Realizing that the bag with Rs 10 lakh had been stolen, Naresh immediately contacted the city police. Upon reviewing the CCTV footage, the police saw a woman taking the bag and walking out of the bank.
Following Naresh’s complaint, the police filed a case under Section 303, 331 (4) BNS and launched a search for the woman. Authorities are confident that the accused will be arrested soon.
