Video: Robbers shot Bank Cashier and looted cash from Branch

Malda: On Wednesday at around 2:30 pm, a gang of approximately eight dacoits looted the Krishnapur Agricultural Cooperative Bank, shooting and wounding the bank cashier. The robbers stole cash and fired several rounds. The wounded have been admitted to the Malda Medical College and Hospital (MMCH). In the picture below, you can see that bank cashier has been shot at the abdomen and has been taken to hospital for treatment.

While tracking the robbers along possible escape routes, the police arrested three suspects near Jatradanga under Malda Police Station. A gunfight ensued between the police and the robbers, resulting in the hospitalization of two offenders, identified as Sujan Mandal (27) of Krishnapur and Mainul Islam (40) of Mallikpara, who sustained bullet injuries. The search for the remaining culprits continues. The wounded cashier, Jogeshwar Mandal (35) of Sikkhokpally in Gazole, was initially taken to Gazole State General Hospital before being referred to MMCH.

Reports indicate that the dacoits entered the bank in Krishnapur, Gazole, and began assaulting the employees. They then shot the cashier and looted nearly Rs 6 lakh in cash, continuing to fire as they fled the scene. Mandal, who was shot in the right side of the abdomen, is in critical condition.
