On a recent day, a troubling incident unfolded at the Bank of Baroda’s Varwade branch located in Dondaicha taluka, Dhule district, Maharashtra. A group of local leaders entered the branch, expressing their dissatisfaction over the rejection of a loan proposal under the Chief Minister Employment Generation Programme (CMEGP). The rejection was reportedly based on the applicant’s low CIBIL score, a critical metric used by banks to assess an individual’s creditworthiness.

As tensions escalated, the group confronted the bank officials, specifically targeting the Assistant Field Officer (AFO) and the Branch Manager (BM). The leaders’ frustration boiled over into violence, leading to an assault on the two officials. Eyewitnesses reported that the atmosphere in the branch became chaotic as the local leaders expressed their anger over what they deemed an unfair decision.
