A shocking incident occurred in Lucknow where a female bank employee was allegedly held hostage and gang-raped by three men. The police have arrested the accused, who have been identified as Arvind (36), his brother Sachin (40), and their friend Ram Sumiran (44). All three are residents of Aurangabad Jagir in the Ashiyana area. A few days ago, a Female Bank Employee had filed Rape Case against Branch Head in Patna Bihar. The crime against female bank employees is increasing rapidly.
According to the police, all three are daily wage laborers. The incident took place on February 8, 2025, when the victim, along with her colleague, went to Arvind’s house to collect the installment for an insurance policy. Once she reached his home, Arvind allegedly locked her inside, and all three accused raped her.
The woman filed a complaint on February 10, stating that the accused not only gang-raped her but also threatened to kill her. Initially, the police registered a case under molestation charges. However, after recording the victim’s detailed statement, the police added the charge of gang rape. Considering the seriousness of the case, the police also included Section 70(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in the investigation.
Now, the accused have been arrested by police near Ramabai Maidan on April 18, 2025. After interrogation, all three were presented before the court and sent to judicial custody. The police are continuing their investigation and have assured strict legal action against the culprits.
