Theft Reported at SBI Branch in Rajasthan’s Didwana

A theft has been reported at the State Bank of India (SBI) branch in Chhoti Khatu, located in Rajasthan’s Didwana district. The incident came to light on Monday morning when bank employees arrived to open the branch after a two-day holiday. They found that a rear window of the bank had been broken and immediately informed senior bank officials and the police.

CCTV and Alarm System Disabled

According to preliminary information, the thieves entered the bank by breaking the rear window. Before carrying out the theft, they cut the wiring of the CCTV cameras and the security alarm system to avoid being identified or triggering an alert.

Police Begin Investigation

After receiving the information, the Khunkhuna police reached the bank, inspected the scene, and started an investigation. Police teams collected evidence from inside the bank as well as from the surrounding area to identify the accused.

Cash Loss Yet to Be Confirmed

Bank officials said the exact amount of cash or other valuables stolen is not yet known. The loss will be confirmed only after senior officials arrive and the bank records are checked. The bank management has informed higher authorities about the incident, while the police continue their investigation.
