Six students from the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Jamshedpur, have made history by securing record-breaking annual packages of Rs 83 lakh each in the placement season. The students, who come from both the Computer Science and Electrical Engineering branches, have all received job offers from Atlassian, an Australian-based IT company.
Tanya Singh, one of the students who received the record-breaking package, is from Bijnor in Uttar Pradesh. She completed her Intermediate in Science from Blue Birds International School with a grade of 98.2%. She joined NIT Jamshedpur in 2020 and completed her BTech in Computer Science in 2024 with a grade of 9.07/10. Singh has now joined the Bengaluru office of Atlassian as a Software Engineer.
NIT Director Prof. Gautam Sutradhar and the placement cell in-charge, Professor AK Choudhary, have expressed happiness over the development. They noted that a total of 663 B.Tech students from NIT have received 919 job offers and over 60% PG students have also landed jobs in campus placement.
The success of these six students is a testament to the quality of education at NIT Jamshedpur and the hard work and dedication of the students themselves. It is also a reminder that students from all backgrounds can achieve great things with hard work and perseverance.
