Video: SBI Employee Suspended After Throwing Water Bottle at Customer Over Passbook Dispute

A customer of the State Bank of India (SBI) branch in Chainpur, Saran district, Bihar was assaulted by an employee of the bank after he asked for his passbook. The customer, Mantosh Ram, had been waiting for two hours at counter 1 inside the bank when his number came up.

However, the bank employee, Manoranjan Kumar, refused to give him his passbook. This led to an argument between the two men, and Kumar eventually threw a water bottle at Ram, hitting him in the head. Ram was injured in the attack and has filed a complaint with the police.

The SBI has suspended Kumar and has formed an inquiry committee to investigate the incident. The bank has also apologized to Ram for the attack.
