SBI Appoints Former LIC CFO Sunil Agrawal as Chief Financial Officer
State Bank of India (SBI) has appointed Sunil Agrawal as its new Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The appointment was announced through a stock exchange filing. He will also serve as a Key Managerial Personnel (KMP) of the bank.

Former LIC Executive
Before joining SBI, Sunil Agrawal was the Chief Financial Officer of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), the country’s largest life insurance company with around a 50% market share.
Over 27 Years of Experience
Sunil Agrawal has more than 27 years of experience in financial services and business strategy. During his time at LIC, he played an important role in strengthening the company’s finance function. He also led several strategic initiatives, managed board and regulatory interactions, and supported LIC’s growth and transformation plans.
Expertise in Finance and Governance
Agrawal has strong experience in financial planning, capital management, financial reporting, investor relations, corporate governance, and regulatory matters. He has worked closely with company boards, regulators, investors, and other important stakeholders throughout his career.
Educational Qualification
Sunil Agrawal is a Chartered Accountant (CA). He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a specialization in Computer Science.
