Sitting Fee paid to Non-executive Directors:
The Sitting Fee is paid to the non-Executive Directors as per the provisions of Nationalized Banks (Management & Miscellaneous Provisions) Scheme 1970, read with Government guidelines for attending Board and Board Committee meetings. Sitting fee is the amount of money paid to Non-Executive Directors of a company for attending meetings of the Board or its committees. It is a compensation for their time and effort in participating in decision-making through board or committee meetings. Each time a Non-Executive Director attends a board or committee meeting, they are paid a fixed fee per meeting.
