Rs 7 crore fraud in UCO Bank in Delhi, CBI sent 3 persons to jail

The CBI Court, Delhi has sentenced three accused persons namely, Amit Chaturvedi, Sanjay Chaturvedi and Pravin Juneja to Four Years Imprisonment with a Fine of Rs. 3.5 Lakhs each, in a bank fraud case.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered the case on 08.04.2009 on the conversion of Preliminary Enquiry wherein it was alleged that the accused persons in conspiracy with each other availed Rupee Term Loan of Rs 7 Crore from the UCO Bank by submitting false information and forged documents showing utilization of loan proceeds and siphoned off the funds so received from the UCO Bank.

After completion of investigation, CBI filed Chargesheet against the accused persons on 01.06.2010. The Hon’ble Court, after the trial, convicted and sentenced the accused, accordingly.
