Vidisha has witnessed a rise in theft incidents over the past few days, with thieves attempting thefts regularly. Today, thieves tried to break into Yes Bank, located on Vidisha Sagar Marg. The unknown thieves managed to break the lock of the bank branch but were unsuccessful in their attempt to steal.
The thieves entered the bank after breaking the lock but found no cash inside. As soon as the bank officials discovered the broken locks in the morning, CSP Atul Singh, Civil Line Police Station in-charge Shahwaz Khan, the Dog Squad, and a Fingerprint Expert arrived at the spot to begin their investigation. The CCTV footage will be reviewed once the bank officials arrive.
At this stage, there is no information about what, if anything, was stolen from the bank. Police are still investigating the matter. CSP Atul Singh confirmed that while the thieves had broken the lock, no items were stolen. The investigation is ongoing, and CCTV footage will be examined.
Yes Bank is located four kilometers from the city on Sagar Road, and there were no security arrangements in place. The thieves took advantage of this and attempted to steal. Luckily, there was no cash in the bank, or this could have turned into a major theft.
