The victim, a senior advocate from Orai, has filed a police complaint, while the bank staff has remained tight-lipped on the issue.

Anand Swaroop Srivastava, a senior advocate and resident of Mohalla Gandhinagar, Orai Kotwali, reported that he had been using a locker at the SBI branch since 1980. During his last visit on August 13, 2024, Srivastava and his wife, Munni Devi, checked their locker, which contained precious ancestral jewelry.

- 4 gold necklaces (480 grams)
- 16 gold bangles (300 grams)
- 4 gold chains (140 grams)
- 1 gold armlet (55 grams)
- 1 gold bandi (8 grams)
- 1 gold nose ring (6 grams)
- 3 pairs of gold ear tops (25 grams)
- 1 pair of gold earrings (8 grams)
- 10 gold rings (110 grams)
- Silver items:
- Half a box of silver (500 grams)
- 90 silver coins

On Thursday afternoon, Srivastava received a call from bank employee Balwan Singh asking him to come to the bank urgently. Upon reaching the bank, Srivastava found the locker open and the entire contents missing. The shocking discovery left him stunned.
