The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released Country wise Outward FDI from India from 01.04.2025 to 30.06.2025. Outward Foreign Direct Investment refers to the money Indian companies invest in businesses abroad — either by buying shares, giving loans, or issuing guarantees for foreign subsidiaries or partners.
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has released the Outward FDI (OFDI) data for the month of June 2025. The numbers show how much Indian businesses invested overseas in different forms:

1. Total OFDI Has Increased
In June 2025, Indian companies made total foreign investments of $5,030.48 million (over $5 billion).
This is a huge increase compared to May 2025 ($2.7 billion) and June 2024 ($2.89 billion).
2. Equity Investment Doubled
Equity investment (buying shares or ownership in foreign companies) more than doubled from $987 million in May to $2,039 million in June.
This shows growing confidence in global expansion.
3. Loan Component Dropped
Loans given to foreign companies dropped from $1,023 million in May to $585 million in June.
This might mean companies preferred investing directly instead of lending.
4. Guarantees Saw a Big Jump
Guarantees issued jumped significantly to $2,405 million in June, up from $692 million in May.
This shows that Indian companies are supporting their foreign ventures by standing as guarantors for overseas borrowings.
