Pakistani drone attacks residential area in Firozpur Punjab; Three injured and hospitalized

A Pakistani drone hit a residential area in Firozpur, Punjab, on Friday, injuring three people. They suffered burns and were taken to the hospital, said Firozpur police chief Bhupinder Singh Sidhu.
“We got information about three people with burn injuries. They are being treated at the hospital. Most of the drones were shot down by the army,” Sidhu said.
Indian Air Defence successfully shot down most of the drones flying over Firozpur. More information is still coming in.
This happened a day after Pakistan tried and failed to attack civilian areas near the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border. Indian air defence systems stopped that attempt.

On Friday, more Pakistani drones were seen in the Jammu, Samba, and Pathankot areas. In Samba, people saw red lights and heard loud blasts as drones were shot down during a power blackout.
Due to growing tensions, blackouts were ordered in several places, including:
- Akhnoor and Udhampur in Jammu and Kashmir
- Ambala and Panchkula in Haryana
- Firozpur in Punjab
- Jaisalmer in Rajasthan
According to Indian Express report, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann called an emergency Cabinet meeting at his residence and assigned 10 of his Cabinet colleagues to hit the ground in the state and stay in the border areas. The government issued the orders on Friday, saying that the ministers have to be with the people.
After the incident in Ferozepur, the administration of the neighbouring border district has urged resident to remain calm and indoors. The authorities have reportedly issued an alert in areas surrounding the Chandigarh airport on Friday, including Mohali and Panchkula, warning residents about a possible air strike.
More details will be released soon.
