A post on X ( formerly twitter) by a popular handle – Newton Bank Kumar, has created a stir on social media.
In the post, Newton Bank Kumar has alleged wastage of public funds on the retirement event of a UFBU Leader. The handle alleged over Rs. 5 crore was spent on retirement day event of UFBU Leader.
The post alleged Rs 5.7 crore was spent on retirement day event of UFBU Leader Sanjiv Bandlish.
Sanjeev Kumar Bandlish, General Secretary of NCBE, retired from the bank’s service on 31st July 2024.
As per information shared on social media, the amount was spent on purchase of gold and silver coins.
The post has started a big Controversy. Meanwhile, the General Secretary of NCBE has denied the allegations and called the post as Fake. On the other hand, bankers are demanding strict investigation and details of the funds spent on retirement.
