Karnataka Bank has extended the tenure of Mr. Ratheesh R, who is working as Head – Training in the General Manager cadre. His tenure has been extended for another one year with effect from August 17, 2026.
According to the bank, Ratheesh R will continue as Head – Training at Karnataka Bank for another year on a contract basis. The extended tenure started from August 17, 2026.
Experience of Ratheesh R
Ratheesh R is an experienced banking professional with more than 39 years of experience. He started his banking career in 1984 with the erstwhile Corporation Bank and later worked in different roles across branches and controlling offices in major cities.
During his career, he gained experience in credit portfolio management, MSME and large corporate lending, export credit, risk evaluation and stressed asset recovery management. He also worked as faculty assistance for NIBM, Pune.
Ratheesh R joined Karnataka Bank on August 17, 2023, as Head – Training at the Staff Training College in Mangaluru. He joined in the General Manager cadre on a contract basis for an initial period of three years.
Ratheesh R holds the CAIIB qualification and various certifications from the Indian Institute of Banking and Finance. His certifications cover areas such as Credit, Ethics, Strategic Management and Risk.
