Indian Bank’s Zonal Office in Cuddalore has issued a circular to all branch managers in the zone, instructing them to undergo mandatory on-the-job training. This initiative comes after observations by higher authorities revealed that many branch managers are not fully familiar with the daily operations of their branches or the functional aspects of ATM and BNA operations.
The training aims to enhance the managers’ knowledge of branch operations and ensure better efficiency in handling critical tasks. The circular, signed by the Deputy General Manager/Zonal Manager, outlines the details of the training schedule as follows:
- Training on Assistant Branch Manager (ABM) Duties
- Branch Managers will take over the ABM’s responsibilities for five working days, from January 9, 2025, to January 18, 2025.
- ATM/BNA Operations Training
- Branch Managers will manage the loading and End-of-Day (EOD) functions of ATMs and BNAs for another five working days, from January 20, 2025, to January 24, 2025.
The circular emphasizes that branch managers must diligently follow the prescribed training schedule to improve their understanding of operations. This hands-on training is expected to bridge the knowledge gap and equip managers with the skills to manage both branch and ATM operations more effectively.
This proactive move by Indian Bank underlines its commitment to ensuring operational excellence and better service delivery across its branches.
