The GRP recovered the body of an assistant bank manager, a resident of Phulwari Sharif, Patna, from Jamalpur Junction on Tuesday. Due to the severe mutilation of the body, proper identification of the face is not feasible.
Upon receiving the information, the family members proceeded to Jamalpur to identify the deceased. They question why he ventured to Jamalpur while being stationed in Munger.
Early Tuesday morning, Phulwari Sharif police station received a notification on their mobile device regarding the discovery of a deceased youth from Brahmapur village, Phulwari Sharif, under suspicious circumstances at Jamalpur’s outer signal. An ID card and a bank ID card were discovered near the body, along with the recovery of an Aadhar card.
Upon contacting Jamalpur GRP, they confirmed that the Aadhar card and bank ID card belonged to the deceased. This revealed that the individual, Rahul Kumar, was employed as an Assistant Manager at Indian Bank. Family members informed that Rahul Kumar was stationed at the Indian Bank’s Munger branch in Jamalpur.
Rahul Kumar had returned home for Holi celebrations and subsequently resumed his duties. The family members express concern regarding Rahul Kumar’s presence in Jamalpur, questioning the purpose behind it, given his assignment in the Munger branch. They view the situation as suspicious and refrain from making any conclusions until they view Rahul’s body. GRP Jamalpur revealed that a ticket from Jamalpur to Patna was recovered from the youth’s pocket.
