HDFC Bank UPI Services will be down on 5th and 23rd November

HDFC Bank has announced to its customers that its Unified Payment Interface (UPI) services will be temporarily unavailable on two specific days in November due to scheduled maintenance. The downtime is planned for November 5 and November 23, during the early morning hours, to minimize disruption while improving service quality and reliability. The bank advises customers to plan their transactions in advance to avoid any inconvenience.

Scheduled UPI Downtime in November

According to the notification from HDFC Bank, the UPI service downtime is scheduled as follows:

  • November 5, 2024: From 12:00 AM to 2:00 AM IST (2 hours)
  • November 23, 2024: From 12:00 AM to 3:00 AM IST (3 hours)

During these maintenance periods, all UPI-related transactions will be suspended, affecting both financial and non-financial operations across HDFC Bank’s current and savings accounts, as well as transactions using HDFC-issued RuPay Credit Cards.

Impacted Platforms and Services

This maintenance will impact UPI services across all major digital platforms, including HDFC Bank’s own MobileBanking app and popular third-party applications such as Google Pay, WhatsApp Pay, Paytm, Shriram Finance, MobiKwik, and Kredit.Pe. Merchants associated with HDFC Bank will also experience temporary disruptions in UPI transaction capabilities during these maintenance hours.

Communication to Customers

In its official communication, HDFC Bank stated:

“To enhance your banking experience, we are undergoing essential system maintenance on the following dates:

  • November 5, 2024: 12:00 AM IST to 02:00 AM IST (2 hours)
  • November 23, 2024: 12:00 AM IST to 03:00 AM IST (3 hours)

Please note that during this period, UPI services linked to HDFC Bank accounts will not be available. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as we work to enhance the efficiency of our services.”

Customers are encouraged to prepare accordingly and plan their transactions in advance to mitigate any potential disruptions.
